Who we are & what we do

Sapcote Parish Council came into existence in 1895.

The Parish Council's responsibilities include Donkey Lane cemetery, Leicester Road allotments and the war memorial in Church Street. We are now also the Sole Custodian Trustee for the Sapcote Recreation Ground Trust since 1st November 2023.

Meetings of the Parish Council are held every month, currently these are located at Sapcote Pavilion.
The Annual Parish Meeting and the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council are usually held on the first Thursday of May.

We also employ two General Maintenance Operatives to carry out routine maintenance and a Litter Warden who keeps our streets and open spaces free of litter.
